Founded in 1950, our store is built on a proud third-generation family legacy rooted in craftsmanship, service, and timeless style. Nic Gavalas, born in Augusta, Georgia, learned the art of fine clothing from his father, a master tailor who made his living by hand-crafting garments with precision and care. On June 24, 1950, Nic brought that tradition to Tallahassee, opening a modest 800-square-foot shop on Monroe Street near the Florida Capitol. More than 70 years later, his vision lives on through three generations of the Gavalas family. With three locations in Tallahassee, Nic’s sons and grandsons continue his lifelong mission: dressing the Southeast with exceptional quality, personal service, and a deep respect for the craft of menswear.
